Alli, month five

Alli is doing incredible!!! She is by far our easiest right now.  Go figure.

She weighs in at 16.9 pounds and 27 inches!
She sleeps 10-12 hours at night, with 3 naps.
She has been eating 24-28 oz a day, along with a solid meal.

She's got the sweetest disposition! So happy and very easy to read. We are so so blessed!


Accomplishments: *rolling all over the place *laughing *tripod sitting *standing in exersaucer

Therapy: *infant massage, joint stretches *bearing weight on feet *core stability exercises on ball *assisted moving between crawling and sitting *playing with feet *head turn in prone *sensory play *clapping

 Likes: *bouncing/jiggling *standing up *eating!

 Dislikes: *sun *bowel movements

you might notice she isn't smiling in a lot of these pictures - mostly because it's really hard to get her to smile AND take the picture. my self-timer came it handy!

Alli, month four

Alli, month three

Weight: 14.5 pounds

Height: 23 inches

Sleep Patterns: 8-9 hours at night, naps are all over the place still

Eating Habits: 24-32 oz a day. 4-6 oz every 3 hours

Accomplishments:

           *rolling back to front- July 10

           *first smile – July 7

           *bats object – July 20

           *babbling nonstop July 16

Therapy:

           *infant massage, joint stretches

           *tracking –side to side, up and down, circular

           *bearing weight on feet

           *core stability exercises on ball

           *tummy time in mirror

           *practice rolling both ways

           *pulling up arms to sitting position

           *holding upright over shoulder (to promote neck strength)

Firsts:

          *movie theatre experience (Monsters University)

          *public Radio interview

          *4th of July

Likes:

         *singing

         *being pulled to a sitting position 

         *Baby Einstein

         *ceiling fans

Alli, month 2

at two months:

:: she weighs 10 pounds (75th percentile baby!) and wears size 1 diapers.
:: she's busting out of newborn clothes and now wears 0-3.
:: her bedtime is 11-ish and she sleeps through the night. yes, you read that right. 7am wakeup. what what!
:: she likes to be soothed with a paci, swaddle wrap, and the big blue exercise ball. but if it's food she really wants, she is a total drama queen, must have that bottle pronto!!!
:: her feedings aren't super consistent but we always shoot for a 4 oz bottle and go from there. sometimes she wants 6 oz! and she consumes 25-28 oz in a 24 hour period
:: she is the best burper - like a man! and the other end as well - like a man! it's comical when people are over  and they get interrupted by this what sounds like stew on the burner bubbling over and dripping to the floor. gross, right? but we are so thankful for healthy bowels.. it's the little things!
:: she still rolls - but not as often - her leg strength is incredible,  quite the kicker when on her tummy.
:: she holds your gaze long and deep, as if she is trying to figure you out... and she's actually forming opinions.
:: she startles after accidentally batting a toy hanging from her jungle gym mat then she'll stare it down curious and confused.
:: she naps after being awake 1.5 hours. anything over 2 hours- she can't deal...
:: she definitely knows mama's and daddy's voice and seems to recognize grandma and papa too by cooing back.

Alli, month one.

Our little Alli girl is a month old!

:: she weighs maybe 8.5 pounds and still fits in newborn diapers.
:: she is just now filling out her newborn clothes.
:: her bedtime is close to midnight and she sleeps until 5, sometimes 6 in the cradle next to my bed
:: she does cry. but really, every cry is so very predictable. Now this flat out blows my mind. Our previous 3 were NUTZ in comparison. I can’t get over how easily she falls asleep. Anywhere and everywhere.. on my knees, laying flat on floor.. in mid air. seriously, an Anne Geddes baby!

:: every 2.5-3 hours she’s eats a 3.5-4 ounce bottle, which seems crazy to me, she’s so tiny!
:: she has rolled from her tummy to her back at least 1 to 3 times every day since 3 weeks! (im not lying!! see video below!)
:: she loooves to stare deep into your eyes.
:: she loves her forehead stroked and warm baths and baby oil massages
:: she loves skin to skin and the moby wrap.
:: she loves her daddy and i swear has already started smiling at him
:: she is such a joy to her siblings - they are so madly in love with her and so helpful to mama
